Azumanga Daioh: The Animation
I watched the last episode of Azumanga Daioh last night. Reaching the end of the anime had the same effect on me as the manga, where I was sad that it had to end. It's like I had come to expect these characters to be here, alive, and I didn't want them to go away. But I suppose that is part of the point, as their high school ends and each of them is off to a different life.
Anyway, the anime was just as great as the manga, but different enough that there is good reason to watch the anime and read the manga. Lots of really funny stuff and just overall good fun. You'll get different jokes and events out of each, but they are very complimentary.
